Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel and then check-out.  Your first stop is at the Jamestown Settlement for a guided tour.  The Jamestown Settlement commemorates the first permanent English settlement in the New World.  It features full size replicas of the three ships that arrived in 1607.  The reconstructed Jamestown Fort is unique and is brought to life with costumed interpreters performing 17th century activities and interacting with the crowds.  Don’t miss the Indian village!  You will have free time after the tour to explore at your leisure and grab lunch on your own from the Café.  After lunch, depart for Richmond, VA.  Tour the Capitol of Richmond, the seat of state government of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Honor the memory of all Virginians who gave their lives defending the United States from WWII through today, at the Virginia War Memorial.  Visit Historic St. John’s Church (dated 1741), one of America’s most important historic sites, where George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other Colonial leaders met and, swayed by Patrick Henry’s Liberty or Death speech, made a decision that changed the course of American history.  It was at St. John’s that the American Revolution found its voice.  Enjoy a Driving Tour of Richmond, including Monument Avenue Historic District, the nation’s only grand residential boulevard with a series of monumental statues marking its major intersections.  Afterwards, depart for Charlottesville, VA to check in to your hotel for the night.  Dinner will be included at a local restaurant.
